 About Mothercare
Mothercare is probably the UK's best known mother and baby store,
with products, clothes and gifts for all through pregnancy, birth and the
first few years of a child's life, and all completely affordable.
Mothercare has been a firm favourite for generations of British parents
and has clothed, educated and entertained millions of children for nearly 50
years.
Midwives, safety specialists, technologists and of course mothers and
babies are all consulted regularly to ensure that Mothercare offers
the very best advice and products to their customers.
Mothercare's range of clothing, toys, furniture, pushchairs /
prams and other items for mothers, babies and children has choices for every
budget and every requirement.
Store-Index's Mothercare review
Several of us at Store-Index and StyleJunkee have used the Mothercare
website. It's so easy to navigate with all their "departments" easily
listed in the top menu and a drop down sub-menu giving you further choices,
you can easily find what you're looking for. We have several
"favourite" features of the Mothercare website such as:
- The Resource Centre - Informative articles to help you buy, or just
give information (you don't feel like you're being sold to or having
Mothercare pushed down your throat when you're in the resource
centre)
- Help me choose section - this is invaluable for either new parents
(who let's face it have no idea what they're doing!) or people looking
to buy gifts from Mothercare. Answer a few simple questions
and you will be presented with a list of relevant products - easy as
pie!
- Wish list & gift list - so simple and easy to use, if you're
browsing and like the look of something on the Mothercare
website, or would like to compare different items, simply save them in
your
Mothercare wishlist. Expectant parents, or parents of
children (with upcoming birthdays, for example) can either share their
Mothercare
wishlist with others, or create a special gift list, to minimize the
chance of getting unwanted or duplicate gifts
- Checklists - so simple yet so effective, Mothercare have
created checklists for various stages of pregnancy, birth and childcare
from the newly pregnant essentials and hospital bag to toilet training
and keeping baby amused. Of course, all the items on the
checklists can be bought directly from the Mothercare website,
making the whole daunting task of preparing for something you've never
experienced before as simple as can be.
All in all we love the Mothercare website, and secretly hope many
other online stores follow their example of offering great advice, useful
tools and an easy to navigate store.
